TREIGNAC WATER

Treignac Water (natural mineral water) comes from a natural spring directly from the Regional Natural Park of Millevaches in Corrèze (France), a stage on the way to Santiago de Compostela. Described by the ancients as "miraculous", Treignac Water was famous to cure skin and eyes diseases.

Due to the location of the source, the water is filtered naturally in granite sand soil. It is this characteristic feature that gives Treignac Water its particularities:

  • Purity and low concentration of minerals (20 mg of dry residue per liter)
  • Low pH typical for water coming from a granitic ground without limestone
  • High concentration of silica (Si), approximately one third of the total composition

These characteristics make the Treignac Water particularly beneficial for the skin.

LOW IN MINERALS

After a first soothing sensation on the skin, waters highly concentrated in minerals can leave a drying, tightening effect on the skin. This is not the case with Treignac Water, which is low in minerals.

SILICA

Silica is the natural form of silicon dioxide (SiO2). In the body, silicon is present in different organs: skin, tendons, bones, faiths, kidneys, etc. It is an essential trace element. Silicon has been shown to be an essential element for the synthesis of collagen in bones. In the skin, silicon would stimulate the production of collagen and elastin leading to a remodeling of the architecture of the dermis. After silica supplementation, the number of collagen and elastin fibers increases. Their distribution in the skin appears to be more homogeneous.

AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT

These characteristics make the Treignac Water one of the essential ingredients of the VIVASÔME® Complex by preserving the hydration of the skin.
